Out Montclair Announces Postponement of Montclair Pride 2026 from August 1 to New Date October 11, 2026, to “Come Out for Montclair Pride” in Celebration of Pride and National Coming Out Day

MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Out Montclair announced that Montclair Pride 2026 updated theme of “Come Out for Montclair Pride,” will now take place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in conjunction with National Coming Out Day, a nationwide observance celebrating LGBTQ+ visibility, authenticity, and community.

The organization has postponed the event from its previously anticipated 8/1 timeframe, to allow for the essential safety personnel required to produce a large-scale event, and to continue to increase necessary additional financial support and sponsorships. Donations for Montclair Pride can be sent through the updated GoFundMe link at: https://gofund.me/c4c052a09.

The goal is to deliver a safe, inclusive, and impactful Pride celebration that reflects the diversity and spirit of the LGBTQIA+ community members, allies, businesses, and organizations to come together to support LGBTQIA+ visibility, equality, and belonging.

Montclair Pride has become one of New Jersey’s meaningful celebrations of LGBTQIA+ visibility and belonging. Moving the event to October 11, 2026, gives us the opportunity to create an even stronger experience while honoring the significance of National Coming Out Day. We invite everyone to “Come Out for Montclair Pride” as we celebrate our community together,” said Reubena Spence, the President and Co-Founder of Out Montclair/Montclair Pride.

Out Montclair has recently modified and strengthened its Pride Festival management structure with experienced event professionals and community leaders to ensure a successful, safe, and well-coordinated Pride celebration on October 11.

As preparations continue, Out Montclair is working with community partners, sponsors, volunteers, and municipal stakeholders to ensure the event’s success. The organization invites businesses, organizations, and individuals to explore sponsorship and partnership opportunities and join the growing movement to “Come Out for Montclair Pride.”

Additional details about programming, sponsorships, volunteer opportunities, and event activities will be announced in the coming weeks.
