Out Montclair Teens
Helping Young People Find and Develop Positive Relationships
TEENS@OUTMONTCLAIR.ORG
Mission
Our program for teens (ages 13-17) is focused on helping young people find and develop positive relationships with peers, facilitate self-expression, and build feelings of community and belonging. Teens events often involve a hands-on activity of some kind and are typically held at local businesses and public spaces that welcome and celebrate LGBTQIA+ people and identities.
Previous Programs
Out Montclair Teens has programs monthly that allow LGBTQIA+ teens to express themselves authentically in an environment with their peers. These events focus on just letting teens be teens! Here are just some of the events we’ve had:
Pizza+Pride – Pizza night and art prompt for Montclair Pride 2023
Musem Tours – Montclair Art Museum (MAM) private exhibit tour and studio project led by an instructor
Gelato Night (pictured) – A night of free gelato and games
Movie screenings – Montclair Film private screening at the Clairidge of LGBTQIA+ themed teen films (Love, Simon and The Prom)
